Build your own kit

Build your own new hire kit

Pick the items you want in the box, tell us your headcount and your budget per kit, and we will source it, brand it and come back with one costed quote. Our ready-made kits are there for inspiration, and everything here is built from scratch around your list.

Step one: pick what goes in the box

Apparel
Hoodies, quarter zips, tees, polos, jackets
The item people keep. Usually the biggest line in the kit and the one worth spending on.
Drinkware
Insulated bottles, travel mugs, tumblers
Second most common request. Goes to the desk and stays there, so the logo gets seen daily.
Tech
Power banks, wireless chargers, cable kits, mousepads
Strong for remote and hybrid hires who set up a home desk on day one.
Desk and office
Notebooks, pens, desk mats, organizers
Cheap way to add weight and structure to a box without pushing the per kit price up.
Bags
Backpacks, totes, laptop sleeves, duffels
Works as the container itself for kits that skip a printed box.
Headwear
Caps, toques, bucket hats
Seasonal intakes and field teams. Pairs well with outerwear.
Food and treats
Snacks, coffee, chocolate, gourmet boxes
Adds a personal note. Watch shelf life if kits sit in the warehouse between hires.
Packaging
Branded boxes, printed inserts, welcome cards, tissue
The part that makes the kit read as planned rather than assembled.

Step two: set the number per kit

Budget per kit does more to shape the build than anything else you tell us. Here is roughly what each band buys once branding is included.

Under $40 per kit
One anchor item plus two or three small pieces. Usually drinkware or a desk set, shipped in a mailer.
$40 to $60 per kit
Where most builds land. An apparel piece or a good bottle, plus supporting items and a printed insert.
$60 and up per kit
Boxed presentation, heavier apparel or tech, welcome card inside the lid. Senior hires and sales teams.

Step three: send it over

Six things let us quote without a back and forth. Use the contact form, or open a pre-filled email with all six already laid out.

1.The items or categories you want inside
2.How many people you hire in a year
3.Your target spend per kit
4.When you need the first batch
5.Shipping to the office or to home addresses
6.Whether you want a branded box or a mailer
A navy tee with an embroidered chest logo and a laser-engraved tumbler packed in a white kit box, with packing tape and a tape gun on the bench

What happens after you send it

We come back with a costed kit: the products, the decoration setup, storage if you want us holding stock, and freight. If something in your list is going to blow the budget, we say so and offer the closest alternative rather than swapping it without telling you.

Once you approve the quote and the proof, we produce the run, store it, and ship kits as people start. You are not reordering every time somebody joins.

How kitting and fulfilment works

Frequently asked questions

Can we really pick any items we want?

Within reason, yes. We source from a wide supplier base, so most requests are buildable. Where an item does not work at your quantity or your budget, we tell you and put up the nearest alternative.

Is there a minimum order for a custom kit?

Each component carries its own minimum, so the kit minimum is set by the strictest item in it. Swapping one piece often drops the minimum a long way, which is something we flag on the quote.

How much does a custom kit cost compared to a pre-set one?

Usually similar. A custom build lets us leave out pieces you would not have used and put that money into the item people actually keep, so the per kit price often ends up in the same range with a better box.

Do you charge to put the kit concept together?

No. Sourcing the options, mocking up the branding and costing the kit is part of quoting the work.

Can you match our brand colours exactly?

On most decoration methods yes. We confirm the colour match on the proof before anything is produced, and we will tell you upfront where a method cannot hold an exact match.

Can we add or change items later?

Yes. Programs change as roles change. Because we hold the stock, swapping a component usually means changing the next production run rather than scrapping what is on the shelf.

Will you store the kits for us?

Yes. We warehouse the components or the finished kits and ship them as people are hired, which is how most of these programs run.

Can you ship to employees at home?

Yes, across Canada and the United States. Send a name and address per hire, or have your HR team send us a regular feed.

What if we want the same kit for recognition and milestones?

That is common and it is more efficient. One approved catalogue can cover onboarding, milestones, years of service and holiday gifting.
